Hi Mike -
We released a 1.2.2 version recently that should have the correct dependency.
You may have to do an "aptitude update" to refresh the cache. I did a test
install on our debian wheezy system and that correctly updated the python pushy
package. let me know if you continue to have p
Hi Kevin -
The latest version, ceph-deploy 1.2.2 in the ceph rpm-dumpling repo should
have the correct dependency (see below). If doesn't work for you, or if you
are using a different repo please let me know.
Thanks,

Hi Maciej -
We will be adding Jessie eventually, but probably not before it is officially
released. Current policy is to support the latest two releases of the distros.
We would welcome a patch for the cookbooks if you would like to submit one.
Thanks,
Gary

If you are still having problems with ceph-deploy, please forward the ceph.log

Thanks,

There was a mistake in the build script that caused the rpm signing to get
skipped. That's been fixed and updated rpms have been pushed out.

Hi Florian -
leveldb-dev and libsnappy-dev backports can be found in ceph.com/debian-leveldb
for natty, oneiric, and squeeze. They are also included in the Ceph release
repositories. I'll update the documentation.

Hi Dewan -
There was a patch submitted for that recently, and I will push out a new
version of the packages in the next hour or so.
If you want to apply the fix before that. It is commit

Hi -
The epel repo is needed to resolve those dependencies.Sounds like you have
it sorted, but for reference the instructions for configuring the epl repo may
be found at:

Hi Matt -
Sounds like you installed ceph-deploy by downloading from
github.com/ceph/ceph-deploy, then running the bootstrap script.
We have debian packages for ceph-deploy and python-pushy that are included in
the debian-cuttlefish repo, as well as
http://ceph.com/packages/ceph-deploy/debian.
Hi Kasper -
ceph-deploy has a couple open bugs on Fedora that we need to fix before it
works. Currently the only supported rpm platform is Centos/RHEL 6. Those
packages can be found at http://ceph.com/rpm-cuttlefish/el6/noarch/ .The
modules install into the python 2.6.6 site library so t
There were a couple other issues with v0.56.5 build. It's been pulled, and
replaced with v0.56.6 build, which just adds the couple bits that were missing.

Hi Ricardo -
The rpm build picked up the gptfdisk requires from SLES due to a merge error.
I'm re-spinning the rpms to correct that. I'll send an email when they have
been pushed out.
