We have been doing a zfs send piped to s3 uploads for backups. We use awscli for that, since it can take a stream from stdin. We have never considered using cephfs for that. It ultimately ends up looking something like one of the following, depending full/incremental: zfs send -wv $datas

Hi Matthew, I have always seen (and this is what we ourselves practice) that 3 is the optimal number of monitors for all but the most extreme clusters. We have never had an issue with that setup. We run monitors as VMs on either Proxmox or VMWare, and back them up, and replicate as well, so ther
