We have CENTOS version 3,4 and 5 on DELL servers. What I want to know is how
to setup SFTP log file similiar to vsftpd.log. I knew /var/log/secure provide
me login user information, but I need more detail like "file name", "get/put",
etc.

I have two DELL servers with two Ethernet ports in it.
Bith servers have CENTOS 4.5 installed. First
Ethernet port connect to public Ethernet line and work
correctly. Second Ethernet port I connect
point-to-point as private Ethernet (cable direct
connect without router or switch). Private Ether
setup IP address as "192.168.xxx.xxx" does NOT work.
Someone say I need use "crossover" type of cable, but
I don't have. I put a switch and coneect cable from
each PC and it work fine.

Centos version from 4.X to 5.X. sometime the connection are very slow (compare
to servers on other racks also inside firewall).
we discuss with network engineer he ask us use "ping" and traceroute" to check.

I just download CENTOS 5.4 DVD ISO X86_64 version from internet. I tried to
install it on DELL server and get following error message before RPM start

I have some batch JOBs migrate from CEBTOS 5.3 to CENTOS 5.4 server. Those
batch files start on "#!/bin/csh -v". Those batch files run good under CENTOS
5.3. on CENTOS 5.4 batch jobs still run good but end of batch priocess it will
show "history".

I have been installed CENTOS 5.2 on several DELL servers and have following
problems (even latest patches apply):
1. DELL 2650 can NOT boot under CENTOS 5.2 PAE mode
2. DELL R900 can NOT boot under CENTOS 5.2 PAE mode (inifinite boot loop)
3. DELL R900 with 128 GB RAM can only see 15 GB RAM
We are set up CENTOS 5.2 (X86) as our database server. I created raw
partitions and also put definition on /etc/sysconfig/rawdevices.
I can use "raw -qa" see raw partitions. The wield things is after reboot
/dev/raw is not exist any more.
Does anyone know how to fix it?

we have CENTOS 5.X on server A and Server B. Both servers have Gigabit network
card connect to same switch.
I test network speed from Server A to Server B and found speed much difference:
SFTP: 42 MB/Sec
SCP:20 MB/sec
SCP command: scp -Crp -o CompressionLevel=1 user1@ServerB:/TMP/File1

Not all 32 bits applications can run on 64 bits O.S.

I would like confirm one thing. Based on what I saw Redhat document before,
look like CENTOS 5 (X86, 32 bits) only support 16 GB RAM.
