I run a local repo for our company's packages. Since yesterday we have
problems with creating the repo files. When i run "createrepo --update -s

While uddating a package i accidentally put a "¸" in the package version in
the spec file. And createrepo doesn't like this.

Hi,
I have a custom rpm for our application. The problem is that it grew old and
fat. It's about 30 MB. So i would like to split it into two parts. One big
part that almost never changes and one smaller part that is changed more
frequently. But i don't know how to write the spec file so a simple yu

One more vote for gkrellm. You can install gkrellm-daemon from the epel repo

I also install RPMs from OO.org. To make file associations work, you have to
modify /usr/share/applications/defaults.list
here is what i did, to make it work:

I did consider that, but if you have about 1000 machines distributed in 4
countries, then this is not really an option.
I am trying to find a way, that can be packaged to an rpm package.

we have some old dell optiplex 745 machines which have the Intel 965q
chipset. The problem is, that they freeze as soon as the system tries to
start the X system. It happens even before any log is written. This happens
almost every time (for some reason it sometimes work, but 99% it fails).

I had some trouble with centos 6 installed on ESXi 5. Vnc didn't work
properly until i removed the file /etc/xdg/autostart/vmware-user.desktop.
I found the solution in this thread on vmware forums:
http://communities.vmware.com/thread/326868
The same solution applies to xrdp since it uses vnc.
you could try
*yum localinstall remmina-plugins-rdp-0.9.2-5.el6.R.i686.rpm*
and yum will take care of the dependencies if they are in your repos.
