Thanks for the info. I know its quite old but I cant update as its running with
cluster suite and its a production unit. Moreover its not feasible to upgrade
as I have hundreds for apps and data lying on the system. Backing all of this
not very continent.

Thanks for the explanation. yes I do understand that critical patches needs to
be applied for any OS. But in this case it is not a stand alone machine, it is
a cluster suite and OS was not installed separately. I would have definitely
upgraded the system if this was stand alone box.

FYI.
We have been using CentOS 6.4 and have 2 vpn/gre tunnels to separate cisco rtrs
using ospf.
with kernel 2.6.32-358.23.2
We have upgraded to 6.5 bit using kernel 2.6.32-431.5.1 and the exact same
configuration scripts for
our vpn/gre tunnels.

I have a dual Xeon 5130 (four total CPUs) server running CentOS 5.7.
Approximately every 17 hours, the load on this server slowly creeps up
until it hits 20, then slowly goes back down.
The most recent example started around 2:00am this morning. Outside of
these weird times, the load never excee
system-config-network seems to only set IPv4 addresses. There does not
seem to be any tool for IPv6 addresses?
I know I can always edit /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
but is there a 'tool' for it?

But then the browser changes the URL in the browser to the servers IP address.

Try setting variable ServerName in httpd.conf
