Here is a patch to fix two instances of segfaults with
1) Program crashes when a menu item is clicked
2) Program crashes if a widget is placed on a window with no pane

Some how I was in a sub-shell and I typed "exit" and it exited the
sub-shell and everything
was fine. I didn't close dtterm. So I am not sure that it's dtterms fault.
I am on Ubuntu 16.04 and I built from git pulled two weeks ago.

if we don’t replace dtmail with them. Redo the ui to match
dtmail, but keep everything underneath the same. Is this an approach anybody
would even entertain? I’m not sure I like it, but the thought had occurred.
