Just acquired a NeXT 68040 cube computer. It's way cool, but the responsiveness
is unimpressive - I'd call it pokey.
All 16 RAM slots are full for 16MB, but sixteen 4MB RAM sticks may help the
speed.
It has an internal HD, as well as the magneto-optical drive.
One things it's missing is the
I have an IBM 5120 desktop computer to give away, but it has no circuit cards,
so it won't work as-is.
Danger- it weighs 100 pounds.

Anyone have an Amiga 1000 hard drive that they want to sell?
This seems like a good place to ask this question - I'd like an Apple Lisa 1
"twiggy" system for my collection, and can trade a working IBM 5100 Portable
PC. We'd probably have to meet in person to make the transaction. I'm in So CA.

Anyone near Chicago want to pick-up a nice Altair 8800B with Altair floppy
drive for $1500?
It isn't mine, and the working status is unknown. They don't want to ship it.

Let me know and I'll connect you.

The title says it all - the Apple III has an external hard drive called the
Profile, but a driver has to be installed on the boot floppy - it won’t boot
from the HD. There were also 10MB Profiles, with a different driver file I’m
guessing.
I have the driver file for the 10MB, but it doesn't s
profile hardware driver/diagnostics disks but none specify the
size of the drive on the disk, What version do you have?

Hi,
In the past, I requested the email address and home city of old computer
collectors to a compile a list for my own purposes.
Over 120 people had responded, which is great! Now I want to make this list
PUBLIC with a Google map showing everyones location, email, and collecting
preferences.

Regrading the previous message, the map would just show the city, not your
actually home address, which I do not have, but to be honest, anyone could find
it using the internet.
Regarding the previous message, all email will be obfuscated to foil scrapers.
't see it in their
email, since the respondents came from here.
thanks

I want to buy an old computer from a guy I don’t know in Houston (I’ll pay
shipping to CA), but it’s a lot of money, and I don’t want to lose it - what
are my options?
Thanks-
Steve.
There's a weird Sord M23P (I think) from the early 80's at this elderly persons
house in Walnut Creek, CA - East of the bay.
She can't pack and ship it - it's too big and heavy. It was actually sent to
her by mistake, it was supposed to be sent to my house, 500 miles away.
It's nothing rare or v

Well, I knew the computer, just not the city.
It's Zell am See, a small town in western Autria, far from everywhere it seems.
The computer is a Datapoint 2200 - 50lbs, 10x19x20 inches.
I want to get it shipped to Calfornia, where I live.
The cheapest option is to just use local Austria mail, bu

it well, by wrapping it several times in big-bubble bubbewrap, until it was

Hi, I need CP/M, either floppy or cart based, for my Exidy Sorcerer.
I want to format and use the floppy drives - I have the S-100 expansion and

Free Macintosh IICX in Orange County CA area. Sometimes it boots, often it
doesn’t (power supply issue?). Also HD has stiction issues. Also the tall
profile monitor has a very smeary image. Other than that, it’s great!
Everything is included - computer with cover, keyboard, mouse, monitor.
