I have here a Acer-Altos System 4500. It is a 486/33 EISA System with an
Altos Basic SCSI Bsc(e) Controller.
It has an Altos Multidrop/2 EISA Controller (to controll TCU Boxes that
handle RS232 Ports) and a VGA1024i EISA Graphics controller.
My mision is to bring that System back to l

The problem was the current adress register. One of three 74161 binary
counters was bad. After replaceing it, RK8E Diskless Controlltest

I am trying to restore an Wandel and Golterman Spectrum Analyzer.
In the Analyzer is a 486DX2 Computer. This Computer did not save some
bios settings.
So i think that the CMOS ram has a failure.
Did some one have a 82c42pc in dil40 package as spare part?

The reason is that i want to drive the vax headless.
I have set Disk DKA300 as boot hdd in console mode.
I SET HALT 2 ( reboot).
In this configutarion the system starts into SYSBOOT>.
There i have to give the command CONTINUE to boot VMS.
