Dear All Does anyone have a recommendation for a joint light/UV microscope for manual Crystal screen inspection (i.e. a stand alone, not linked to automatation etc)? Positive (ccp4bb) and negative (direct) impressions welcome! Thanks Andy ###

Hi All, May I ask opinion of those who currently have standalone UV microscope whether or not they are happy with their choice? Few that I know are from Formulatrix, JanScientific and Corima. Pros and cons of your instument are greatly appreciated. I'll send the summary to the list. Regards,

I used a Korima a few times and didn't like it. Poor image quality and you have to worry about nuking your crystals with UV. However, I haven't tried any other UV microscopes to compare. For most purposes outside of high throughput imaging, I'd rather just shoot the mystery crystals with xrays. Yo

Hi there. I don't know how much it costs, but I've used a Korima PRS-1000 serval times, and it appears to be fairly good. Although the image quality isn't great and there is still a bit of a learning curve for identifying small crystals and/or crystals buried

Dear Scott, We had a UV inspection microscope from KORIMA to look at crystals by UV fluorescence. It works relatively well but it is expensive ( way too much in my opinion), you pay for the microscope, the UV source and the software (named Wasabi) that comes with it An alternative to that is descr
