We've been using the Mitegen MicroRT product for a while and it works well,
but I'm anxious to try Filip Van Petegem's paratone oil method. I've used
paratone as a cryo before, and spent a lot of time trying to wick away the
liquid around the crystal - in the case of room-temp mounting the
crystal

We do an "is it salt?" test with our in-house x-ray equipment: move the
detector in as close as possible, and swing the 2-theta arm out to 45
degrees; take a 10 degree wedge of 1 degree images, 10s or less. If you
don't have the ability to swing the detector in 2 theta, you might want to

1) It's very bad form to include someones email address in a post without

Hydra +1.
