Nick Rosbrook has proposed merging ~enr0n/autopkgtest:deb822 into
~ubuntu-release/autopkgtest/+git/development:master.

AFAIK, the systemd-fsckd patch is still required, but we have vague
plans to get rid of it by making plymouth learn this functionality (i.e.
reading /run/systemd/fsck.progress directly). I have no idea about the
re-ordering, but it would be easy to test with a drop-in config.

Thanks, Paride. Yeah I would ultimately like to upstream this and land it in
the deb.

FWIW I am currently working on adding deb822 support to autopkgtest and
will open the PR soon.

Public bug reported:
The wait_booted() function in lib/VirtSubproc.py uses `runlevel` to get
the current SysV runlevel, and only considers the test bed booted if
`runlevel` returns a valid number. This is fine in most cases, but
causes the test bed to timeout if this SysVinit compatibility is brok
Yeah, his comment is relevant. The reason I hit this bug is that
systemd-tmpfiles-setup.service failed to start, and that service is
responsible for creating /var/run/utmp on Ubuntu(hence utmpx functions
cannot store/fetch runlevel). The systemd-tmpfiles-setup.service failure
is LXD-specific, and L
I completely missed that libnftnl was a separate source package. Based
on previous bugs I immediately jumped to look at the pinning, and then
found the recent autopkgtest bug. Sorry about that.
Removing affects: nftables to unblock its migration.

With autopkgtest upstream (HEAD at 8c8368c074 at time of writing), I get
this behavior:
autopkgtest cmdline: /home/nr/ubuntu/code/autopkgtest/runner/autopkgtest
systemd --shell-fail -U --test-name upstream --apt-
pocket=proposed=src:nftables -- qemu /home/nr/ubuntu/autopkgtest-
testbeds/autopkgtes
This does indeed go away will all-proposed=1.
