We use an ht in crossband mode, when we fly a balloon over 100,000 feet for a few hours. Just imagine covering several hundred miles with an ht on low power. :) And we do the same with a commercial DMR ht in the single frequency repeater mode, with amazing results.Great ways to exploit these featur
