Hi Martin,
Yes, as you have already noticed there are some problems when genersting a
Maven site with Maven 3. Looking for a suitable work-around I'd like to ask
why you run 'mvn site' ?
Unless you want to view your own community created content, there are other
ways to to things on a CI server t
Hello Martin,
Yes, that's it: when m-site-p launches reporting plugins that require
lifecycles, it seems that lifecycles can be relaunched multiple times. I still
don't know where is the bug, or where to fix things: Maven Core, m-site-p or
reporting plugins

A "mvn install" or a "mvn deploy" works well. The multiplication appears
when the "site" phase is included. So this
And there is no point in doing "install deploy". Just do "deploy".

Hello all
An other aspect which may be worth to explore for reducing resource
consumption is the way we use or configure Maven. A few weeks ago,
executing "mvn clean install deploy site" on Apache SIS with Maven 3.1
apparently trigged compilation of all source code 18 times. It may not
be Maven fa
Hi all,
Like Hervé I feel that the current state of Jenkins at the ASF is not
good enough. The main problem, judging by the threads on builds@, are
the Windows slaves. I see two major problems here:
1. The stability of the servers - they seem to go offline quite often,
requiring manual restarts.

I know very little about how you manage the infrastructure, so this
might be very much off the mark, but bear with me :-)

interface, kill stuck jobs, restart machines ar
Om, Herve
What action are you specifically trying to achieve with the role you are
referring to as 'maintainer' ?
With the jenkins-admin karma you have you are able to look at jenkins
tickets that are in the infrastructure backlog and close them out or you
can answering questions on the builds@ li
Jake,
Just to be clear, we want to get a 'maintainer' account so we can help out
with maintaining Jenkins.
I already have an 'Admin' account, but I can only do limited things via the
web console.
The FAQ page you mentioned does not have this information.
Thanks,
Om

Hi Jake,
this page doesn't tell anything about volunteering, and seems not really
updated:
- on "FAQ For PMCs" side, there is a list of Jenkins admins that seems really
not accurate

- on "FAQ For Administrators" side
Please see http://wiki.apache.org/general/Jenkins for details on the
process, thanks again for volunteering, appreciate the help

Hey Om
You are right, talk is cheap. being an admin on any one of the systems that
we run is more than maintaining your pet project and more about providing
reliable systems for all of our projects to use. I'm sorry that your
project is experiencing a problem with one of our systems. There is an op
Hervé,
Thanks for bringing this issue up. I second everything you said.
Having a good build system is essential for a project's success. I am sure
the ASF realises this, which is why they have invested in all the hardware
on which the build systems run. But it is of really no use to us because
Hi,
Like many people in ASF projects, I need a good CI service: Jenkins is a good
tool, then I expected ASF Jenkins farm to give a good service. That's not the
case for a few monthes (no pun intended).
Then I'm trying to help by reporting problems, updating documentation on wiki
page, trying t
