Hi Manfred,
the version of parted you have (1.6.6) is so old it could've been used
by the ancients (yeah, i'm watching too much SG ;) ). Please use a more
recent version (pref. 1.6.25.1) instead.

Could you give me an estimate of how much time would be involved in

Please upgrade to latest version of parted and gparted.
Even better, run gparted from a livecd (e.g.
http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php )
cheers,

Upgrading to a new version of libparted (and gparted) will most likely
fix this.

Hi guys,
recently someone filed a bug about partitiontypes. He would like to set
the partitiontype to 'c' (W95 FAT32 (LBA)), whereas libparted only knows
type 'b' (W95 FAT32).
atm i simply set the partitiontype using:
'int ped_partition_set_system (PedPartition* part, PedFileSystemType*
fs_type)
here you go:

Hi,
Hmmz, they're not overlapping. I'm not sure what causes this problem,
maybe it has something to do with this extended partition? are you sure
you use /dev/hda2 as SWAP partition? that seems quite weird :)
I think the answer is somewhere in the 2 errors you get while listing
the table. I guess
Hi Ugo,
i guess some partitions are overlapping.
could you send us the output of 'fdisk -lu' ?
