I can confirm that a fresh rebuild of the OSX PPC installer works on 10.5,
so
hopefully this can be closed once 2.13.4 is released.

MacOSX we
support (even Panther, even prior versions, both Intel and PPC) do include

I don't think that's a good idea.
It's much easier to use the same tool (Ghostscript) for all of the
installers, rather
than singling out "Darwin 8" onwards.

The Ghostscript error messages are a lot more clear when you run
lilypond --verbose
Then we will know what "(256)" means, hopefully.
