Sorry, that was plain pedantry on my side. Actually, *all* versions of
MacOSX we
support (even Panther, even prior versions, both Intel and PPC) do include
pstopdf,
which we could invoke instead of gs.
I can understand the need for consistency, but Ghostscript is a heavy
library where
as Mac OS offers built-in tools that work in a similar way.
