score. The Lilypond version is 2.2.0 on Mac OS X.
The error goes away if either:
\notes { c'8\> c'\! r2. }
is changed to
\notes { c'1 }
or, if
\notes { R1 * 2 }
is changed to
\notes { R1 }
It may be that in \part
