No objections that someone adds this. It's probably a frog job since
the additions to the METAFONT code to get a straight diagonal line are
quite trivial.

As Dmytro pointed out, this also happens with the
tuplet-bracket-cross-beam-staf
They're supposed to be in 2.12.3:

MIDI output.
Could you please send a small but complete example to the mailing list,
of a file illustrating the problem. Don't forget to tell what LilyPond
