Please send bug reports to the bug-lilypond mailing list.
I have included a Cc: there and confirm that the bug remains
in the latest CVS version. A good test file for the debugging
is input/no-notation/midi-volume-equaliser.ly, which works well
in version 2.6 but shows the reported bug in latest C
I send your message to the bug reporting list, since it clearly seems
like a bug.

It doesn't call any external application at that spot in the
