Sorry, got my wires crossed there for a moment. Please disregard the above;
It was meant for a different ticket. Here is a small patch for the
documentation, as requested. What do You think?

Sending an amended patch; After installing on another machine than my
daily driver, I found that `alsa-plugins` and `alsa-plugins:pulseaudio`
were needed for orca-lang to have reliable MIDI output. Going to add
them as propagated inputs; If there's a better way to do so, please let
me know.
work as it used to.
Dunno how we might implement this kind of edit into the procedure that
updates `runc` in the first place, but it seems like that could be a
solution. Ideally, it would just use `runc` in the `$PATH`, but then `runc`
becomes a propagated input.
Hope this helps.

However, as a Lisper, I feel as though the symbol itself could easily
be more descriptive by using `api-version` or something similar rather
than just a generic `version`. It would help prevent other newcomers
from going through the confusion I've just had.
What do You think?
ng I think should ideally be standardized across all
packages if possible (maybe an email thread on guix-devel?), because the
main channel as a whole will be more maintainable if we can come to some
kind of agreement.
Let me know what You think.

know how to do that (yet).
I've also taken the liberty of moving all of the
unnecessarily-propagated inputs to 'beets-bandcamp' and made them normal
inputs.
Patch is attached, let me know what You think.

Are variables that point to places in the profile allowed? Or do they
have to only point to the store? That would solve the chicken and egg
problem here, where we can't hardcode the directory of the plugin into
'beets' because the plugin is
I've been digging through the source, and it seems as though
`python-build-system` does not actually set the $GUIX_PYTHONPATH
variable in the environment. That variable seems to only be set by
`python-2.7` and its derivatives, including `python3.9`, during a step
after the install process.

So, I took some time to do some digging this morning, and I now have a
few results and a few more questions.
First, I tried `guix shell --pure python beets beets-bandcamp` to ensure
that the plugin would be detected once `GUIX_PYTHONPATH` was set as You
had mentioned. That did work, though the
Ah, I see. That makes sense.
However, I don't think we need to necessarily use all of 'beets' inputs
as inputs for 'beets-bandcamp', because it will build fine with just the
inputs listed. I know it isn't DRY, but it seems like the most efficient
way to define the package might be to simply de

Copy that, will refer to it as 'Guix System' from now on. I'd picked up
GuixSD from reading (apparently outdated) blog posts.
Regarding the section header, I'd just copied something I found online

I think, going forward,
Copy that, Maxime. That makes sense.
I'll work towards getting it to build without deleting that phase, then.
Thanks for the feedback!

`beets-bandcamp` nonetheless, but
