provide a "heads-up" to readers of the documentation you
intend to patch.
The idea is that emails could be automatically scanned for

Thanks for your reply. Just to double check, I ran another `sudo guix
pull` and `sudo guix system reconfigure /etc/config.scm`. I still
cannot boot that installation.

I ran into the same error yesterday. But today I was able to
reconfigure after pulling (commit
7da907f90e74a4edf96d76ee457ff958265ef8d4). Looks like this issue was
fixed.
