Follow-up Comment #1, bug#65095 (group groff): I used this command:- ./test-groff -Tpdf -mhdtbl -U -dfontpath=font/ -dsopath=../contrib/hdtbl/ contrib/hdtbl/examples/fonts_x.roff In the build directory. Seems to work. (I'm using the deri-gropdf-ng branch, don't know about 1.23.0)

Follow-up Comment #1, bug#65094 (group groff): EPS files are not supported in pdf files, and gropdf only supports embedding pdf files (in the same way as grops only supports embedding eps files). There is a macro PDFPIC which does a similar job as PSPIC. I changed the mixed-pickles.roff to this c

Follow-up Comment #2, bug#65095 (group groff): Thanks. I had not changed the "fontpath" from "top_srcdir/font" to "top_builddir/font when I copied ".roff.ps" to ".roff.pdf" in "hdtbl.am". The "fonts_{n,x}.pdf" have 71 pages versus 38 for the PS files. This ticket is now resolved. _
