We're definitely still here; my guess is that it's just the email list
change that some people haven't caught up with yet. Stuff is still
definitely happening, for example the Alter Aeon events that are
running right now.

rt of that is because we wanted to make a good game, not because
we wanted to make a lot of cash. EA seems to me exactly opposite: it
feels like they want to make money, and the game quality is irrelevant
as long as the money pours in.

Why exactly do you need the contact details for gnuplot developers? What
are you trying to do?
As far as I know it's basically unmaintained (because it's finished).

One thing to keep in mind regarding MSP is that it's only "sortof" a
protocol. The specification is really unclear when it comes to
implementing things, and it doesn't define almost all of the use cases that
actually matter to modern games. I sat down at one point and started

You almost certainly don't want to do this; yes, it has good odds of
conflicting with your AA configuration.
It's best to just download a new copy of mushclient and build up configs
for other games in a completely separate directory.

Typically people download and install Mush-Z, which is a custom client with
lots of sounds and good VI support. You can get it at http://mush-z.com.
The main website for the game is at http://alteraeon.com. Happy playing!

I understand that there's some basic stellar support in mush-z, but I have
no idea how that works. You'd probably have to ask on AA.

As a sighted developer to a blind consumer, asking one of you who
knows how to write code to join the team would probably not have
worked.
The problem is that making a visual game blind accessible isn't just
hard, it's really, really, really hard, and sometimes outright
impossible. A good example

TL/DR: Stellar Aeon is a multiplayer text game you can play with mud
clients. It's now officially open, but still under development. The
address is stellaraeon.com, port 4000. I haven't set up a website
yet.
We've come a pretty long way in the last year or so.
The new Stellar Aeon soundpack is finally available! It's based on
MushClient and shouldn't require any configuration to get it working
after install.
You can get the installer at: http://stellaraeon.com.
For those of you who don't know, Stellar Aeon is a space exploration

Nope. SA isn't actually a mud, so even if it did very little of MDSP
would apply.

The character already exists, so you can only log it in. You can't create
a new character with that name, because it already exists.
If you want to reset the character, log in with your email instead, and
select the restart option.

But most of these are going to be like playing Starcraft blind - you're
just going to have a bad time.

That said, it took literally half an hour for that 2014 machine to load the
game. The only reason it was able to run the game at all is because I had
32 gig of ram in it.
