I've run a bunch of really high end games on super crappy GPUs - I played
Ark on a four core machine from 2014 with onboard graphics, for example.
Most modern game engines handle it fine as long as you turn off all the
extra graphical features and set the resolution to something like 640x480.

That said, it took literally half an hour for that 2014 machine to load the
game.  The only reason it was able to run the game at all is because I had
32 gig of ram in it.
