4 Great Egrets were seen at the Exeter lagoons this afternoon. As well,
the Eared Grebe continues to be seen as well as an immature Pied Billed
Grebe which was being 'mothered' by a female Ruddy Duck. A female Hooded
Merganser is also present. Only thing exciting in the shorebird selection
was

river and began feeding. It turned out to be a Great Egret. It was in
the river, north of the dam, north of number 2 highway in Thorndale.
Thorndale is about 10 miles east of London on highway 2.

Just returned from looking at a beautiful pure white SNOWY OWL. This bird
was first spotted last Thursday but just reported to me yesterday, and was
then seen again this morning, so I went to check it out

Took a drive back to Greenway road and Pinery area this afternoon, and although
saw two small strings of 'geese' far into the distance, there were no swans to
be seen yet. There is no water in the fields at this point. Hopefully mild
temps on Monday may change everything.
