Over the past couple of weeks, the Greater Snow Geese have been very slowly
building on the sod farm east of Casselman. Today there were about 7000
birds with maybe 1000 Canadas sitting separately.
There were also about 20 Lesser Black-backed Gulls mixed in with mostly
Herrings in the same field.
We found a Northern Wheatear in Timmins at 2:10 pm today. The bird was in a
farm field, feeding in the grass and perching on fence posts for brief periods.
Location: fields close to 1725 Shirley Street North in Timmins, ON.
Direction: Timmins is 700 km north of Toronto. Shirley street north
