Hello Bacula List…
I am having a problem with 1 of my bacula installations.
Currently, I have 2 bacula installations both are running on Linux, Redhat 9
with kernel 2.4.20-31.9smp
One us using a Dell PowerVault 120T with 8 DDS 4 tapes and
bacula 1.36.3, this one runs great no problems
Ok I have increased the sleep time in the mtx-changer file so we will see
what that does, however I am not very hopeful as most of the time, when I
get this error message it has been sitting for hours, I do a mount and it
still happens...

Hello all,
I just upgraded my bacula server (and all clients) to 1.38
from 1.36 and I have not changed any of my config files yet.
I was wondering what the list feels are the most important
things that will need to change in the conf files for the dir, sd, and fd?
Any thoughts?
Arno,
Why do you assume that I had not read the release notes at the time I sent
the email or that I had not done it before I did the upgrade?
I am insulted at your accusations. I know you feel that everyone on here is
dumb but you, but you are wrong. There are plenty of competent Admins on

Hello,
I have been getting this error over the last week or so and I can not
figure out what is wrong.
When I run the catalog backup manually from the bconsole it runs fine, I do
not change any of the settings.
Below is the output from the director. Any suggestions would be
appreciated

Hi Folks,
I try to backup 193GB with bacula 2.0.3 on a tape library Powervault
124T with LTO3.
The backup take 7 hours to terminate. The specification for PV 124T is
"Supports maximum native transfer rates of 288GB/hr (LTO-3)"
Any idea for this problem ?

Hi All,
I try to simulate an install for Bacula on Ubuntu Server Feisty and the
dependencies is ok.
apt-get install -s bacula
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
The following extra packages will be installed:
bacula-client bacula-director
Yes it's should works for Ubuntu too. If you specify the specific
package then only dependencies and specified package will be installed.
