Arno, Why do you assume that I had not read the release notes at the time I sent the email or that I had not done it before I did the upgrade? I am insulted at your accusations. I know you feel that everyone on here is dumb but you, but you are wrong. There are plenty of competent Admins on this list that do a good job. The entire point lists like this is to have PEERS that are available to confer with regarding matters such as this. I was simply asking what others on the list felt were the biggest NEW features they implemented when they upgraded from 36 to 38, not what the documentation says, but what others in productions environments has implemented, something we talk about on here all the time... I run my backup in a production environment and I do not want to experiment with new config options, which I may not fully understand or comprehend all implications of using said config options.
In the future when replying to posts, I would recommend trying to NOT assume that everyone is stupid... - Thank you, Grant Della Vecchia System Administrator ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---- AIS Media, Inc. 7000 Central Parkway, Suite 1700 Atlanta, GA 30328 Tel: 770.350.7998 | Fax: 770.350.9409 URL: www.aismedia.com | Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------ -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Arno Lehmann Sent: Friday, January 20, 2006 2:46 PM To: bacula-users@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: Re: [Bacula-users] After Upgrade from 1.36 to 1.38 Hello, On 1/20/2006 7:34 PM, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > > > Hello all, > > I just upgraded my bacula server (and all clients) to 1.38 from 1.36 and > I have not changed any of my config files yet. > > > > I was wondering what the list feels are the most important things that > will need to change in the conf files for the dir, sd, and fd? Actually, I don't think it matters much what the list feels. The best thing for you to do now is to read the release notes. I would have been wise to do that before the upgrade, by the way.
