Hi,
I am trying to figure out which Job was was restored from the
information that bacula gives in the bconsole and in the database. I can
see how many files, how much space was restored, when was restored, and
if it was succesfull, but I don't know which Job was being restored.

Hi,
I would like to verify DVD backups after doing them, to ensure that the
disc wasn't damaged and corrupted data (this is not related to the
verify jobs). Is there any standard way of verifying backups, or should
I write a custom RunScript block to do it manually? If it must be done
manually

Hello,
I issued several restores on different jobs, and one of them failed, but
I can't know what was being restored because the name is just
RestoreFiles. Any advice?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
We have bacula running quite well, and it's doing backups to tape and
disk seamlessly. But when trying to use DVD's we have found a problem,
we tried leaving the DVD drive empty, to test if bacula asks for a DVD,
and we get this message instead:
08-Mar 10:59 wks188-sd: test-dvd-Job.2007-03
I'm still blocked with this problem, does anybody know at least if
bacula should ask me for DVD's or if the DVD must be inserted into the
drive before issuing the backup job?
Thanks

Hello,
I'm trying to run concurrent jobs on different storage resources. For
example, there is no problem in doing a tape backup at the same time as
a disk backup and a DVD backup, but I don't really want two concurrent
backups to tape. So my configuration looks like this:

Hi,
I have DVD's working almost well in my setup. The problem is that I can
not reuse a DVD volume because bacula mounts the DVD (to ensure that it
is the right dvd to write to?) before writing, and it does not umount it
again before the actual writing. My device is unable to write if it is

Hi,
I was searching the documentation but I couldn't find any answer there
about my question:
¿What are the possible reasons for a volume to reach the "Error" Status?
¿Is it safe to change its status so that it can be used again?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Juan and others,
Thanks for your quick answer.
The only reason that may be applicable in this case is the number of
files, I think. The tapes and the drive are ok.
The backup that we have done on the tape was not complete because of
permissions. Some files were not written to the tape and ba
Hello,
I'm trying to restore some linux files in a nfs share (where the local
root user can not change ownership) and bacula gives a lot of errors
when restoring the backup, like this one:

Hi,
I'm new to bacula, and after reading the documentation I couldn't find a
way of creating filesets from the consoles. It seems that the only way
of creating them is by modifying the configuration file of the director,
but this would involve restarting the bacula server to have the new
fileset i

Hi,
We have bacula running OK with this devices:
Tape Drive:
Vendor ID: 'HP '
Product ID: 'Ultrium 2-SCSI '
Revision: 'F7BP'
Autochanger:
Vendor ID: 'HP '
Product ID: 'ThinStor AutoLdr'
Revision: 'N12r'
Both in Linux, and both belong to an HP StorageWorks 1/8.

Hi,
Is it possible with bacula to stop after generating the ISO and tell
bacula not to write the actual CD/DVD? What we would like to do is to
store all the backups in a shared folder, and have one person in charge
of burning things from this directory periodically.
Thanks.

Hello,
If I issue several restore jobs and one of them fails, the job list
doesn't give enough information to know which job was being restored, it
only gives the name of the default restore job. Is there any alternative?
Even the emails that bacula send doesn't have the information on what

Hello,
I want to add a new device without stopping the storage daemon. Is there
some support for reloading the config in the bacula-sd? I mean,
something like the reload command in the director console. I have
searched the documentation without success :(
Thanks

Hi,
Before submitting a bug, I want to discuss here on the list, to be sure
that this is a bug, and not a misunderstanding of how bacula works.
I have bacula (2.0.1) configured to do concurrent jobs, and it works
very well. The only thing that isn't perfect is the restore job. I have

Hi,
Is there any option to get information about why a job is queued? I
mean, which of the concurrency restrictions applies to make it wait.
Or maybe some configuration option to get enough verbosity to know this
info?
I need to debug my concurrency configuration but I feel quite blind

Hi,
Is there any way of knowing the progress of one backup? I mean something
like "copied 27 of 145 files" or "copied 50 of 145 GB"?
Thanks.
