My Question:
If I ran two jobs, one with data spooling the other without data spooling, at
the same time with the same pool and only one tape drive, the data will be
mixed on the volume? And a possible restore will take a long long time?
Thanks,
Patrick
not spooling job will run further. No data of the
spooling job will be interleaved and the not spooling job will have one gap in
its data on the volume, but this isn’t a problem because modern tape drives
will winding forward to the needed position.

I think the easiest solution for this would be to use Novell's TSAFS or
TSAxxx (xxx=veriosn number). The calls are in Developer.novell I
believe. A "push" agent is not required and NLMs are much harder to
compile so using the TSAs would be better. How's your coding :)

These steps should really go into

guess it does truncate on a Full backup, but still waiting for the next

explicit parameter that one can pass into the plugin directive to force
a truncate?

tegy is, for the
Daily & Weekly backups I can just run Incremental &

those logs will be truncated and removed? Do that sound like the

Thanks, that did the trick. I was hoping that there was a way to do it
through the config files so the changes would not be lost after every

Hi,
I'd like to control the envelope sender used, when Bacula sends messages over
SMTP.
As fas as I understand I might be able to do that if I create my own
mailcommand in the Messages configuration section.
Is that correct and would there be a simplier way to do that?

I run bacula-dir and bacula-sd in an internal network and a few hosts outside

When I want to run a job for an external host, the host tells me it can

Hi Mosu,
Pruning the volume manually beforehand would be cumbersome solution. How
do you determine the volume name which needs to be pruned (the $1
variable)?

3. Check tape (still in status 'Used')
4. Generate mount request.
5. Confirm manually the mount request (with the same tape and just seconds
later than the mount request!)
6. Backup starts on the same tape.
My err for calling this a "pruning bug". More likely a "volume
