Keep in mind, if you fill a volume (or your volume is not size limited and
this volume fills a filesystem), you cannot reuse it without recycling the
whole volume (just like a tape). If you are writing volumes larger than 4
GB, I suspect you might not be doing this. If you are and simply have

I agree with you I don't think FAT is great just convenient. I will try with
another fs probably ext2.
