Yes. You can turn this off by setting the ignore file set changes directive

Last night I modified the FileSet for my main house server. I got the
Windows version of Bacula running inside the Windows 7 virtual machine,
so that I don't have to copy the entire 12GB virtual disk image on every
incremental backup of the server, plus I get the ability to restore
individual files

I think so too. Maybe I can test this tomorrow, so that we can add the
note about "...but include new files in the next regular backup" in
the docs.

Yes, I think it would be clearer, although with the correct explanation it
seems to me obvious now. That's the problem with docs. It's alw

correct me if I'm wrong. doc is good, but must be read as:
any changes you make to the FileSet Include or Exclude lists will be
taken in account, but will be ignored by Bacula mechanism for
upgrading to a full backup that needs to be done immediatly

Well, sorry, I must have an outdated doc. All I had was :
'If this directive is set to *yes*, any changes you make to the FileSet
Include or Exclude lists will be ignored and not cause Bacula to immediately
perform a Full backup'
If it isn't so, that's exactly what I need. So thanks, Jean-Sébasti
From the documentation, it seems that such a setting will ignore my changes.
Is this correct ?
If so, this not exactly what I'm looking for :-\ I'd would not like bacula
to switch on Full backup, but I'd like it to take my changes in account and
add (or remove) the dir I can add or remove in the
Hi,
Just use the "Ignore FileSet Change" directive.

this seems normal to me. you sould perhaps have not only one job per
machine. so when you add some paths that you know will be removed soon,
create a new fileset and add a new job with this fileset.

Hi,
I noticed that changing the FileSet content changes bacula behaviour : a
scheduled incremental backup becomes a full backup in such a case. This is a
problem for me because :
- I shall change the FileSet ressource often
- I'm backing up to disk with a fixed volumes number.
