I run bacula-1.38.11 on some Debian Sarge boxes, on one of them I have a Sun L9 DLT8000 autochanger. Backing up to tape works and I can run mtx-cahnger script manually, but when I try to run backup to the autochanger in sted of to the tape the mtx-changer script will not load tape. I suspect that
