The servers are in raid so normally we don't need this but you never

Hi Benny,
Have you checked your fileset? There is no "bacula could not stat somedir
ERR=No such file or directory" in your log file for this job? Maybe you
have "onefs" set to yes and there are different filesystems in your
fileset? Are you using compression? Maybe you sould compare the size of th
Hi Ana,
i finaly have bacula running but now when i run a job there is only 25.52 MB of
data backed up. And on the server i tried to backup is an 35GB on data saved.
Its a webserver with Parallels Plesk on it for controlling.
So i think that not all my data is save right now?

Hi Benny,
About the "bacula-dir dead but subsys locked", try to do a stop and a start
again. About upgrading bacula database, you can do this with the
"update_bacula_tables"
script (bacula bin dir, same place as make_catalog_backup and so on).
About the logs, check your Messages configuration at t

Hi Benny,
Do you have the bacula log that you could post here? It seems that bacula
could not found or could not open the storage that you have defined. Did
you checked if there are any volume created?

Hi Ana,
i finaly get it to see in webmin and i try to start my first backup job but it
still keeps the running status and all the other jobs from the folowing day are
waiting.
Anny idea why this could be happening. I have set the clients firewall and open
the ports 9101-9103 for bacula.

Hi Benny,
Sorry, I have no experience with bacula in CentOS, but I´m quite sure there
is a bacula-console package that you install using yum. Also, there is a
bconsole.conf (maybe at /etc/bacula) with the password ¨Melanja123?¨ for
communicating with director. I´m not sure where is bconsole in Cen
Hi Ana,
**Have you tried to run a job manually from bconsole?
Can you explain how to do this because can't find anything about that for

Hi Benny,

hi Ana,
Ok there was a problem with the client section because the name's are not the
same.
i've got director running, can see bacula in the webmin panel but when i tried
to run i get a new error.

Hi Benny,
Can you post here your bacula-dir.conf? In your bacula-dir.conf there must
bem a "client" resource definition. It is differente from the definition in
the bacula-fd.conf. If you have a client1 defined, with a bacula-fd.conf in
some host, you have to have a section in your bacula-dir.conf
hi Ana,
i think the client is defined but its the first time i tried to set up bacula.
but this is what i have in Jobdefs on the line that the error reply:
client=bacula-fd
so anny sugestions what could be wrong with this.
Maybe you get a better vieuw at this printscreen?
Hi,
Check if you have defined the client resource named bacula-fd at your
bacula-dir.conf. Maybe you referrenced this client at a job definition and
you didn´t defined this client at your bacula-dir.conf.
Best regards,
Ana
