I've been around the block with LSI and with adaptec: tried an LSI SYMC101, an adaptec 2940U2W and a 39160. I've removed the library/exchange from the equation, using only the LTO-3 drive (and have actually swapped that drive out for another as well), swapped SCSI cables, and terminators, and still
