Hi,
The messages are ok. Bacula recycled your volume and then marked it as used
because one job finished writing (you have configured Maximum Volume Jobs =
1. This way only one job will use your volume).

Hi. I am using Bacula 7.0.5. I havde disk spooling turned on (80G). During
bacups, it spools to the data spool, and attr spool, then writes data to tape
as 80g fills up.
When it is done, the data spool shows empty, but the attr spool doesnt:

Never mind. I fixed the problem.

This is the real error. The volume is corrupt. Bacula can not find the

Greetings to the list,
we are using bacula 3.0.2 on a W2K3 SBS (32bit). A backup of the
Exchange is first done by ntbackup into a BKF-File. Then this file is
backed up with bacula to a tape. Bacula uses vss for backing up. Now
from time to time we get this error:

Your disk space suggestion was right on the money - thanks!
Turns out the bacula directory in this server is sym-linked to another on a
partition that was full (not 100% familiar with this server having recently
inherited it).
The old .db file is working as normal after clearing some space.

Hi there,
For the past day bacula has been unresponsive eg: not mounting tapes, not
purging records etc.
Today I got this mail:
*cacti.poller_output
error: Can't find file: 'poller_output.MYI' (errno: 2)
cacti.poller_time
warning : Table is marked as crashed

Hi!
I may not have the answer for you but I might have a plausible explanation.
I do a lot backups over the internet and some of them are quite large.
Sometimes when I do the fullbackups they fail a few times. The reason
for that is that the connection is not maintained through the entire
time
Good afternoon,
We have had Bacula running several months now and been very happy with
it. We just began doing network wide backups of our servers and all is
going well.
This week we began backing up a clinet machine inside our NOC. In order
to do so I have to go outside my PIX and back though
It is fixed. There was a one letter case issue in the
media type. I sanitized the info before I post it so
the info below was not the error.
thanks,

You're SURE that's a typo? Seems to me both would have been
copy-and-paste jobs.

The media type requested does not match the media type of which the
device is capable.
Media Type = FT != Media Type = FileJT

this is the relevant config in the bacula-sd.conf:
Device {
Name = JTStorage
Media Type = FT
Archive Device = /media/BIG/jt
LabelMedia = yes; # lets Bacula
label unlabeled media
Random Access = Yes;
AutomaticMount = yes; # when device
opened, read it

Not to be rude, but have you tried actually reading the error message?
:) It seems to me to be extremely clear what happened. There was no
prior available full job, the job was upgraded to a full job on
JTStorage, and that device doesn't exist.
My ass

Yes, with sqlite killing an 'endless' checkdb.
How do you correct that?
Dunno, i trashed the db, it was broken anyhow.

Hello,
I'm having an issue with bacula 1.37.37, i'm getting a malformed reply
error 501 from message.c and my run before job is giving me a permission
denied message when it is run. If i manually run that script it works fine.
Below is my information, any help appreciated.
