You can change retention period with update command. At next backup bacula automatically purges one volume (oldest), recycles the volume and then the volume will be ready to use. Bacula will write to the volume without problem Or you can purge volumes and then truncate so volumes will not use space

We use bacula for more than a year now and the backup server is getting full. Good time to review are retention period's. We use File backup and we use for every single Job a new Volume. Is there a setting which does the following: Volume Retention = Job Retention I want to specify the Backup
