Hello,
I have been running MySQL 5.0.20 on a Solaris SPARC SunFire V240 system
for over 10 months with no problems. I use it for a bugzilla database
along with bacula.

Hello all,
I am currently running bacula v2.0.3 on a Solaris 9 system with a

1.38.11) I am getting backup errors on a couple of clients.

Hello,
> Is there a tool to upgrade the database version?
Yes. In the etc directory of your installation should be the following
script update-bacula-table which should call the correct database update
script. Run that command and you should be good to go.

Hello,
The short answer is you need more tapes because *you* told bacula to
keep volumes for 365 days.
If you only want to use one tape then you need to drop your Volume
Retention, File Retention and Job Retention values to something below
your job interval. If your jobs happen once a day
Hello all,
I am having problems with Bacula v2.0.3 on a Solaris 9 and a Qualstar
8236 LTO-2 Tape library. Before I upgraded to 2.0.x I was running
1.38.11 without a problems.
Today I had three jobs fail because bacula could not find any appendable
media. Here is the first job to fail:

Hello,
I am running bacula v2.0.3 on a Solaris 9 with a MySQL backend (5.0.20 I
believe). I have been running this system for about 18 months and have
been able to keep the system relatively up-to-date. I have an LTO-2 tape
library with 36 slots.
I have three volumes with the VolStatus as "Error"
Hello,
I am running into a problem with bacula wanting a mounted tape on one
drive on another drive. I have a Qualstar RLS8236 Autochanger running on
a Sun V240 with Solaris 9.
Here is an example of the e-mail I get (and messages from bconsole)

Qualstar RLS 8236 LTO-2 autochanger. I have had this setup working for

confused on which pool a tape belongs to here is a snip of the status

Hello Andre,
The problem you are experiencing is you are trying to build a 32-bit
application with 64-bit libraries.
You need to either build bacula as a 64-bit application or to install the 32bit
libraries for mysql build bacula as a 32-bit application.

Brian,
After you edit the st.conf and sgen.conf
make sure you do a ‘reboot –r’ so that Solaris will
reconfigure your devices and add any new devices found.
We have been running it for about 10
months now and it has been a very good for us. The only maintenance we need to
do is updat
Hello Brian,
I have a Solaris 9 system on a SunFire
v240 running a Qualstar RLS8232 SCSI Attached with 2 LTO1 tape drives.
It is a little different – but similar
enough to demonstrate what needs to be done.
I edited the /kernel/drv/st.conf to make
sure the tape devices would get
