Hello Everyone,
I've migrated Bacula to a new freshly installed server running Ubuntu.
Backups are running OK, but, as I tried to restore my /home folder in
upgrade Ubuntu client, I'm getting errors. Below is the relevant part of
the Restore Job log.

Hello everyone,
I'm not a Linuix expert and need some help. I'm adding a new server to my
little home LAN based on Ubuntu, with Bacula running without problems. I'm
keeping all software packages on the most up-to-date versions.
This new server is adding Fedora/SELinux (plus FreeIPA and QEMU/Libvi
Hello Radosław, Everyone,
Yes, bacula-fd service is running as root user, as well as the docker
services, while other docker processes are running under my user-id
instead. Both bacula and docker using standard installation configurations

Hello all,
First, thanks to Radosław Korzeniewski for helping me with the BPIPE
plugin. It's working now with the changes of a few things within the
scripts and the .conf file, as per his suggestions..
Now, it is the Docker plugin. I've been using Docker Desktop for a low
priority application and
Hello all,
After a while and investing a little time, I've managed to run successfully
the Postgres database backups using the BPIPE plugin. At least I think it
worked.
I've got 2 questions:
1 - The BPIPE Plugin is at the start of the "include" list in the "fileset"
definition, but it runs at th
Hi Eric, thanks for the reply.
I've put BPIPE tests on hold, as I'm working with other priorities. I
think I've followed the instructions, but the BPIBE plugin is not activated
during the backup job - the few lines generated by the script are simply
ignored and the pg_dump is not even started. A
Hello everyone,
I've been spending time trying to make BPIPE work for me to take backup of
a few postgres databases. So far, it seems, not enough time, so success is
still away from me. I've already tried the FIFO file approach and gave up.
Backup works perfectly when I use pg_dump to a /tmp/ d
Dear all,
One of my production Postgres databases is growing faster than
anticipated and I'm exploring the use of FIFO files instead of writing the
output of pg_dump to intermediate files within /tmp structure. Currently
all jobs work fine while using the intermediate files. But when I test with
Hello all,
Since I've upgraded to Version 13, I'm having this annoying problem:
- bacula-sd fails right at startup, with no obvious error messages.
- no problems with bacula-dir and bacula-fd
- no problems when I run manually: *sudo /opt/bacula/scripts/bacula start*
- bacula runs on a laptop with

Hello Everyone,
I'm new to Bacula, trying to backup a couple of Ubuntu and Windows 10
machines. I'm also no expert in Linux/Ubuntu.
After installation of the latest version available, and the initial
configuration, I'm stuck with this situation:
