Mehma,
Sorry man wish that was the case. It was doing this on 3.0.1 and then I
decided that maybe an upgrade would help.
It was doing this when the database was on the local machine. I moved it
to its own machine and it was still slow. I have also upgraded the
kernel.
I will get our db admin
Yup got one of those. It has saved my bacon once already.

Also is there an easy way to exit the fill test without pressing ctrl-c.
I do not understand why does the btape test run 100% but the fill test fails?
Thanks for all the help

Yvan,
Could you paste a copy of your bacula-sd.conf. The device and auto changer
sections.
I have found that if I load the tape into the drive then run the fill test it
will not give the WEOF error, but when it loads the second tape it will give
the WEOF error.
If I have any other tape in th
device is tape
btape: btape.c:2667-0 Enter dir_get_volume_info
btape: acquire.c:365-0 device already in append.
btape: btape.c:1898-0 Just after acquire_device_for_append
btape: label.c:707-0 session_label record=683ae0
btape: label.c:752-0 Write sesson_label record JobId=0 FI=SOS_LABEL
SessId=1 Strm=0 len=144 remaind
te Start of Session label.
Is it possible that after I have done the weof with mt that bacula sees
the blank tape as unappendable in some way? It seems very happy to carry
on writing the tape and then verifying it at the end.
