Is it possible to have a backup job write to more then one storage
device? I have a Drobo, total capacity is 16TB, but it presents those
as 2TB luns(could move to 8TB luns). Having it backup to files, is it
possible for it to fill up one lun the move to the next? And no using
LVM to make on big sto
I'm backing up our home directories, about 10TB. I haven't really
timed things out yet, so I'm not sure if a full backup would finish in
time. But its the schedule the boss wants.

Why is there both incremental and differential? I thought they were
mutually exclusive.

I'd like to run incremental backups twice a week, but also need full
backups done every two/three(TBD) weeks. Is there a way to do this

would lead to 'two' backup catalogs from which to pull a restore from?

I come from using Symatanic's NetBackup software, so if my vocabulary
or concepts are off or incompatible with Bacula, please let me know.
Here is the scenario: A file server hosting home directories needs to
be backed up regularly and quickly. Approx 10Tb.
A simple full backup of /home would jus

I need some help coming up with a good backup strategy for our
situation. I have about 10TB of user home directories(and about the
same for lab shares). I've gone through the manual, tutorials, etc and
have gotten the basics of Bacula working. I have it setup using our
SL48 and its currently backin
