have them go every minute or so. It may not even be your firewall

Just to get this into google for anybody else who may have this issue, I
fixed it my tuning my kernel's TCP keepalive setting to 15 seconds.
On solaris it can be done with this:
/usr/sbin/ndd -set /dev/tcp tcp_keepalive_interval 15000

I had a similar issue that was solved by tweaking my TCP-keepalives at
the kernel level that my director was on (in my case Solaris).
My case was on a LAN, but with over 300GB. It would fail at exactly the
same time.

tape issue I can't seem to resolve.
I needed to remove some full tapes from the library and replace them with empty
ones, and then take those new tapes and do a rewind/weof/label on them. It

Have yet to correctly make the static bacula. The test was just to
see if I could actually login before spending too much time.
I am even considering changing our proxy server over to mandriva/mandrake
if the restore does not correctly work.
