I am pleased to announce that we have just released Bacula
version 9.0.5
This is an important bug fix release. In particular it fixes the
cases
where Bacula would print a very large number of error messages.

For keeping all the Bacula clients up to date I'm playing with the idea
to build a statically linked bacula-fd on a current Linux release -
maybe openSUSE 42.3 in a virtual machine.
Any special options are not needed.
On a first test the configure options seem to be:
--enable-client-only --d
