Hello Christina,
This is a common problem when you have a job that
runs a long time, particularly on Windows systems, as
one or more of the TCP/IP connections times out.
The solution is to put "Heartbeat Interval = 300" in
the appropriate resource of each of the daemons concerned --

Hello,
On a quick look, it seems that you edited the Message resource and
modified the
from address, which is no longer correct syntax -- there seems to be a
missing
< in the address root@localhost> which may be causing the problem.

Kern

Hey y'all,
So I've finally gotten all but one of my clients correctly configured but I
have no idea what the issue is with my last machine.
The machine is actually the server for the small company I work for,
running Windows Server 2008 x64. It Bacula connects to it just fine and

Interesting - Never heard about this product. Would my Bacula config files on
the windows boxes be compatible or require reworking etc.
Thanks,

Hi George,
if you want a tray icon that pulses when a backup job runs, you can try
the winbareos client, it works with Bacula 5.2 and gives status
information when you click on it.
Here is an animated screenshot:

Another option, which I used before, is to let your gateway redirect
messages from internal network to your outside-IP (with FD port) to the
internal IP-adres of the FD-ip.

Not sure what you are referring to here by "Have you tried if BAT is the client
you want?" There is only a bacula-fd.exe that I see here and it can be started
as both a service and as a standalone exe - the second used to give the small
icon in the task bar to watch status, etc when right
Hi George,
Have you tried if BAT is the client you want? It can run alongside the
file-deamon on a windows-machine.

Dion

Hello,
I've two problems:
a) bacula storage daemon wont bind to all IP's when SDAddress is not
provided. It always bind to public servers hostname (everything ok with
server configuration cause bacula file daemon binds to all IP's when
SDAddress is not provided)
b) authentication fails when bacul
