Leon,
After replying to you earlier today, I spent a little time testing Josh's
benablemag script, and thought about my "just create a script to run in an
Admin job" comment.
Thought that it required a little more information.
So, here is my Admin job called "UpdateSlots" which runs before all o

Back in Feb I had a crash of my backup system and have to recreate the

process but then hit driver errors. After many weeks of back and forth with

Dear All,
I am running Bacula 5.2.10. I have the following configured in
bacula-dir.conf
Statistics Retention = 90 days
However, Bacula seems to have stopped updating the JobHisto well over
a year ago. I am uncertain as to why this wouldn't be working.
Any Ideas?
Yours,
Shon

Dear Uwe,
This in fact did work. I had to remove the volumes I no longer
wanted to retain, that were over the Max Volumes I set for the pool,
then the Max Volumes finally updated after stopping, restarting Bacula
Thanks much,
Shon

Hello All,
I am looking for ways to stop backing up large outlook pst files every night.
I see in the enterprise version there is a Delta plugin that should do what I
need it to do.
I was looking in the source files in bacula-5.2.6 and found "test-deltaseq-fd".
Does anyone know whether this

The label step should be avoided if the user has a barcode reader.

Thx. I have found this website:
http://www.bacula.org/manuals/en/utility/utility/Volume_Utility_Tools.html#SECTION0027
and it works with bscan!
Cheers

I'm not an expert, but this has worked for me in the past:
bscan -s -m -c /etc/bacula/bacula-sd.conf -v -V FSI-LES /dev/nst0
Good luck!

Hi,
I'm a newbie with bacula...I have saved data on a tape. Then remove the
tape from the library. and then I delete the volume from the
catalog...Now I would like to restore the data which are on the tape.
How can I do that ?
"restore" does not work.
I'm trying bscan, but for the moment it does
Thank you so much :) I removed the exclamation mark and the logs are looking
