This is basically the same I'd do. More PostgreSQL instances just need

Josh,
I have the Heartbeat interval set to 120 on the server right now. Should I
change it to "60" and also add "Heartbeat 60" to the client-dir and client-fd
files??
Thank you.

I should have clarified in my first email that I am going to take off the
recycle option. Initially I wanted recycling so that the disk space being
used for the backups will stay fairly constant(besides incrementals) since
the volumes are recycling but this will cause my labeling format of the

Bacula Users,
I am looking for bacula to automatically delete volumes older than 30 days.
I'm not sure bacula is capable of deleting the actual volumnes or if I
should write a script and have it run after the catalog job(last one each
night). I am not using a tape drive, I am writing volume files

Not sure if this is a good or bad idea. Just the first thing that popped into
my head.
iptables -t nat --insert OUTPUT -m owner --uid-owner user01 -p tcp --dport xxx
-j REDIRECT --to-ports xxx01

I had this great idea today for the tutorial.
Bring a computer pre-installed with N running instances of bacula-dir
and bacula-sd, each with their own Catalog.
This server would run one instance of PostgreSQL, containing one
Catalog for each Attendee.
Each Attendee's home directory would conta

Hi List!
I am trying to restore an encrypted backup using a grml live cd.
The backuped up system as well as the system the director is running on are
running debian squeeze, meaning bacula version 5.0.2
grml contains bacula-fd 5.0.3, so after I started having problems I replaced it

Good Morning,
I doesn´t want to install the packages of my distri because I want my
personalize setup.
configure --help doesn´t found a option like only-storage etc. but I found
--disable-FEATURE
--enable-FEATURE[=ARG]
Whats the ARG list? How can I find more information about the arg-list?
Hi,
I started getting this error for some of the bacula jobs. This only happened
after I redesigned our network moving the servers behind NAT - bacula storage
daemon is remote so the traffic sent to storage daemon is now NATted. As I said
it still works fine as before for most of the jobs but s
