Hello all,
I use Bacula for some times now and I experiment now the base job backup.
I have to solve a problem and I need help: I have to backup a laptop.
This laptop is most of the time connected by wifi. As it contains quite large
data, I have decided to do a full the 1st of each month and an

Yes, you're right. I don't use bconsole to restore jobs but Bat
(GUI). I didn't note that in the "Console" section I can see which
volumes will be used before clicking "OK" to begin the restore
The volumes will be showed when you execute restore command.

Hi:
Is there a way to know which volumes (tapes) will be required by
Bacula before running a restore job? I hope someone can give me a tip.
Thanks

Hi All,
I'm looking to implement bacula using (for now) a pair of zpool
volumes on a solaris server for the backing storage. From time to
time, I need to re-balance the distribution of backup storage between
the pools.
To do this, I'd like to back each client up into it's own filesystem

Hi guys!
First of all, thanks for your existence and experience :)
Let me introduce me, I'm IT technician from Barcelona, trying to implement

Hi Graham.
Yes, you are right.
When I wait for at least 5 minutes, the Differential Backup identifies the
previous
Full backup run and another 5 minutes ago the Incremental backup run identifies
the
previous Differential backup run.
The problem is solved now.
Thx for you support.
Oh man...I didn't realize after the "done" Bacula showed what volumes are
needed. Interesting that when the restore is from a File Volume, it is
showed like offline, i.e, without the "*", but it works anyway.

Do a test restore if possible from the original source and see if it

Hi Folks,
I have not found a way to check in wich volume is such job. If I have backed
up in many tapes and I want to know where is such job, i.e. what volume is
the job, then I could to pick up such tape and run the restore.
Thanks in advance.
