I am not sure this is a bug or what but I am hoping to find a solution for it.
My problem is when I installed the Bacula client for Windows with the
/noservice switch and installed the service either using the /service switch or
using the SC command afterward, the uninstaller will not be able to

John,
It looks like I have to stop bacula-sd to use btape. Unfortunately, that kills
the backup job in the drive that is currently in process. Anyway to avoid kill
this and still using the bscan command?

Hi
I'm using Windows XP-Pro-EN SP3 on the client. Somehow, my windows client does
not work properly. If I open bconsole the windows closes after about 15
seconds. If I start bat it tries to connect to the server but then it crashes.
I checked with the debug command:
bacula-fd –t > output1
and g
That worked. I just need to remember this trick for when it happens next time.
Thanks John!

Hi guys
I have a new bacula running and am wondering what do you recommend for an
offsite backup, adding it to the current local storage.
I was told by management that they dont want to worry if their servers get
stolen.
thanks!

Only one tape yes, is there a way to preserve the data and re-lable?
I suppose I will also have to roll back a hack I did to the mtx-changer script
to simulate the volumes for the re-labelling to work or can I just ignore it?
Thanks & Regards

Thanks for pointing this out I would have never noticed. Only one volume was
being shown because I had put a barcode on one tape to test the re-labelling. I
have now put barcodes on all tapes, see below:

There is a fairly widely available shutdown.exe tool that can be run
from a client-side after-backup script by the Director.

Hoi,
A few weeks ago, I wanted get sequential numbering for my backups.
So for host1: host1-Full-0001, host1-Full-0002 etc,
host1-Inc-0001, host1-Inc-0002, host1-Inc-0003
host1-Diff-0001, host1-Diff-0002 etc.
And for another host the same, but than wit

Hi,
a job just stopped with a fatal error. The mail is below. Does anyone know what
that command "91 19 0" is? I find it rather strange that a vanished
file causes a fatal error.
