Hi Dan,
I'm not up to date on this point, but IIRC there had been some
discussion on whether to continue providing the Python API in Bacula,
due to lack of maintainership a while ago. It might not be wise to rely
on Python in Bacula for your project.

Just a thought... If I understand you correctly, the files never change once
they are created? In that case, your best bet might be to use a copy-based
scheme for backup.
I'd create two directories on your main server.
/current
/to_backup
Both on the same file system.
/current (or whatever yo

This won't help, but before someone says it without being kind or
understanding: You should upgrade ASAP. I do not claim this will solve
the issue. I also realize that not everyone
Hi folks,
Last evening, a few of my client backups failed with the above
"subject" error message. The backups have been running successfully
for more than a year and I haven't changed any configuration files
etc.
Any idea what the reason is behind the errors?
I'm running Version 2.2.6 on RHEL4 x8

Hi All,
I used to use Bacula years ago and am now back at a project that uses it. Is
nice to be back :)
We use Bacula to backup a series of MySQL databases to disk (with eventual
offline storage elsewhere). Part of the requirement is to offer some automated
testing of the data (ie backup live

Hi!
I'm trying to configure bacula to work using a DVD media to make
backups, and I don't know if its normal, but bacula just write one job
per DVD and the DVD still has a lot of free space.
It's some parts of my configuration files:
bacula-dir.conf :
JobDefs {
Name = "BackupEmDVD"
Type = B

Hi,
we are happily using bacula since a few years and already backing up
some dozens of TB (large video files) to tape.
In the next 2-3 years the amount of data will be growing to 300+ TB.
We are looking for some very pricy solutions for the primary storage
OK, I forget the versions:
bacula-sd: 2.4.4
bacula-dir 2.4.4

I had to force the status Full to my volume after the Maximum Volume Bytes

Hello,
I think, I do not have a problem in my configuration.
I can load tapes into drive two with the mtx-script.
The parameters, which are send the mount-command to the mtx-script
imply ever the /dev/nst0 and the drive-index 0.
And bacule works fine with the first drive.
My autochanger config:
