I second this. Something like a LIMITBANDWIDTH keyword, specifically to
prevent a link from being saturated. Either at the director level or
storage level (too allow for links with dedicated nics full thru-put)
Good suggestion.

Hello Ryan,
I didn't know trickle. I have viewed it and sounds great.
However with trickle the whole process is affected. It could be great to
have a limit per job resource in bacula.

second drive ( it's a separate pool ! )
I 've read many post, and I think I've defined the proper resources, and

Now.
I Installed bacula with "apt-get install bacula" but then

I think you ned to run the bacula-sd on that remote host, not on the
host that runs bacula-dir.

Hi,
Is it possible to remove failed jobs from the database? I have plenty of them,

Hi,
I have a problem with file/dir permissions after restore.
If I restore a file from backup, get a parent directories same permissions as
those file. I know, this is a default functionality, with "markdir" on parent
dirs which can be solved.
But this "markdir" method is lame. If I restore man

Hello,
I have been reading bacula documentation but can't found answer to my
question.
Is it possible in Bacula to limit the bandwidth used by job during backup?

Hi,
I am using bacula to make daily disk-to-disk backups. Now, I need to
make weekl and yearly tapes. What is the preferred way? The
information should reside on two places, both disk and tape. Those
"snapshot" tapes will be transferred to a physically different
location.

I guess that's the crucial point of the mailing list vs. forum
debate: a forum is good for people who want to send out a call
for help, and vanish from sight again when their problem
